Dear Colleagues,

 

Some two years ago, I appeared on this plane to seek your mandate to lead our Great Society, MEMCOS, as it charted its course through the early years. It gives me great pleasure to share with you the joy of the moderate achievements that we were able to accomplish in this short spell, through your unflinching support.  We have succeeded in taking the Loan Products of the Society from the meager maximum to the current Standard Loan Scheme [SLS] and Emergency Relief Loan Scheme [ERLS] which offer handsome credit facilities to members at unbeatable rates.  We have used the Household Asset Acquisition Scheme to enable our members acquire objects of their desire.

 

Today, many of us are proud shareholders of our dear Company, MTNN through the Share Acquisition Programme we instituted in MEMCOS and the returns have proved us right in taking that plunge.

We have offered Car Acquisition Opportunities, We have brought MTNN Generators, We have enabled members to insure their private cars and We have partnered with MTNN to help our members support their families and Friends through the Independent Service Contract Scheme which also enabled the society to make a decent margin.

 

On behalf of our members, We have acquired hectares of land in readiness for the biggest and most ambitious Projects of all, the Yello Estate, which in spite of the challenges of the times, remains our flagship to joining the big league. Above all, we have kept faith. We have kept the faith of running an open and transparent Society where probity and accountability has been the watchword. What Next?

 

It is time to Consolidate on the many great strides that we have taken together in MEMCOS It is time to create a solid organizational structure that can stand the test of time and the eventual change of leadership. It is time to see the unfinished bit of the last two years of leading MEMCOS to the logical conclusion of a successful completion and handover.

 

Ladies & Gentlemen, Distinguished members of our Great Cooperative, Nurturing this great investment of our resources involves entrusting its management in the hands of tried and tested people, men of integrity and people with a dynamic focus on the endless possibilities that abound in our environment. People who will constantly challenge the status quo and tirelessly set new standard of achievement in the annals of the society’s history. It is to this clarion call to duty that I invite you as one of the few men of vision who have already seen the Great Future ahead of OUR MEMCOS to cast your vote and support for me as I step forward again to lead OUR MEMCOS into the next phase of a glorious future as its PRESIDENT. TOGETHER, there is only one way we can go and that way is FORWARD.
